Instituut SAUVAGE is a taxidermy shop, mini museum and atelier in the historic centre of Kortrijk run
by Frauke Vandekerckhove.
We are specialised in bird, mammal and reptile taxidermy. Contact us if you have an animal you want
to get stuffed. We also have a large selection of taxidermy for sale.

THE ATELIER

This is where the magic happens.
From skinning to form building to stuffing, here you can see every step in the process of preserving an animal. You can visit the workshop after making an appointment.

THE SHOP

All animals have died a natural death and are sourced from zoos, breeders and animal shops.
In the shop we offer a large selection of birds, mammals, wet specimens and skulls.
